Here you see the marble alter. The hard surfaces of this rectangular building provide over five full seconds of reverberation. This is an essential element of the organ's success. This organ required much releathering, as well as reed refurbishing and a host of other issues. We did our best to stretch ever dollar of the limited budget. We hope that as interest in the instrument grows and we will be able to continue with restoration efforts. This instrument is certainly worth hearing on any Organ Historical Society or American Guild of Organist Convention. Hopefully that will some day be a reality.
